Archive Grooves: A Study of Yusef Lateef's Manuscript Works for Large Jazz Ensemble

The Yusef Lateef Collection at the National Museum of African American Music contains 360 entries of music manuscripts, over 75% of which are unpublished. This research is a study of the works for large jazz ensemble within this collection and will address compositional elements and potential pedagogical applications.
