In this rhythm section clinic, we will present a practical approach to five of the most common Latin American styles utilized in jazz literature: Bembe, Mambo, Bossa Nova, Samba, and Calypso. Through an instructional approach, it is hoped that jazz educators can apply these concepts to their student ensembles.
